We have given our full support to the UN Secretary-General’s call for countries to “Seal the Deal” on climate change at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (CoP-15) from 7 December to 18 December 2009.

The “Seal the Deal” campaign is a major initiative led by the UN that encourages governments to commit to a climate agreement that is fair, balanced and effective when they come together at this year’s conference.  Such a deal requires more than political negotiations; governments need to know that their citizens want an agreement that is definitive, equitable and effective; to provide  support for developing countries’ adaptation efforts and protection for vulnerable people and areas;  binding targets to cut emissions by 2020 and moves the world closer towards a global green economy.

By signing the online global petition, which will be presented to the world leaders, you will be playing your part in the fight to save our earth.  The petition will serve as a reminder to world leaders that they must leave Copenhagen with a balanced, fair and effective agreement to seal the deal so we can look forward to a greener future.
