What: Press conference for ITU TELECOM WORLD 2009 in Geneva

Confirmed speakers:

  • Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda

    The conference will cover the highlights and objectives of the event, and include important announcements related to ITU’s work in the key areas of climate change and cybersecurity.

    ITU will also launch the second edition of its report on the role of information and communication technologies in the financial crisis. Presentations will be followed by media questions.

    Immediately following the press conference, an informal buffet lunch will be offered by the Geneva authorities in the Media Centre. Ms Phillippa Biggs, author of ITU’s report Confronting the Crisis: ICT Stimulus Plans for Economic Growth, will be present to discuss the findings of the report with journalists.
